4 Real Work At Home Jobs

Searching for a legitimate work at home job is a serious challenge with today's Internet. Scammers are out in force to steal your private information or to force you to spend large amounts of money on jobs that never materialize. Some websites charge a fee for fluff pieces with outdated, unspecific blurbs, marketed as can't miss, work at home secrets. Even worse, these websites often transmit spyware onto your computer, causing irreversible and expensive damage.

Here's the good news:actual work at home jobs do exist. You can do them in your pajamas and in the privacy of your own home. In many cases, you can set your own hours. If you want, you can take a week off and no one will really care. You can work in the coffee shop down the street, or while traveling across the country. Work at home jobs offer incredible, liberating flexibility.

Here's the bad news:results may vary. The pay isn't going to blow your socks off, to say the least. You won't receive any benefits, in most cases (although, there are exceptions). You won't get rich. It's just not going to happen. Also, in many cases, work will be limited, so you'll have to string together a number of micro-jobs to make any kind of decent income.

Are you still with me? Good. Because there's a bright side to this too. You're working a lot of jobs and it's adding up to a lot of hours, but you're doing it when you want, where you want, and how you want. Also, because you will have to maintain several work at home micro-jobs at once to make any kind of real money, you aren't likely to become bored. You'll be doing something different everyday.

Okay, so where are the jobs? Read on.

Usertesting.com -

This work at home opportunity offers money to evaluate websites. You simulate the activity of a potential customer or client so companies will know if their website is confusing, if it is aesthetically pleasing, and so forth. They offer $10 per website. Work can be sparse, depending on your demographic background.

Axiondata.com -

This is a straightforward, data entry work at home job. Axion maintains databases for over fifty client companies, so if you can get on board with them, you should have plenty of work. The problem is getting on board with them.

Editfast.com -

If you have a college degree and can string together an acceptable sentence, it might be worth it to try this work at home job. They do proofreading and copy editing for a wide-ranging group of entrepreneurs, aspiring writers, and college students.

Alpineaccess.com -

If you're looking for a work at home job with benefits, then you may want to apply here. You will need a landline telephone, as well as $45 for a background check fee. Alpine is a virtual call center with agents across the country, and they offer health and dental care plans for their employees (that's right, their employees - not independent contractors).

So what do you think?I tried to give you a variety of opportunities, rather than listing all call center jobs, or all editing jobs. Don't see anything that interests you? Don't be discouraged. A lot more opportunities are out there. I intend to write more articles on this subject in the future, so be sure and subscribe if you want more job leads. Keep searching, and remember to be leery of potential scammers.
