Ways To Make Money From Home That Can Actually Work

There are thousands of ways to make money from the comfort of your own home. And if you are looking for legitimate ways to make money from home online, then you have probably already run into several scams. Personally, I like the one that promise you'll, "Make $500-1000 an hour doing online advertising!" Or the testimonials that quote earnings in the hundreds per hour taking online surveys. They sound too good to be true, right? And they usually are. Others have upfront fees and zero guarantees that it will actually work. So when you are looking online for legitimate ways to make money from home, there are several ways that I have personally tested, that were not only free to use, but also ended up making me money.

First of all, if you are looking to make a large amount of money doing very little in a short amount of time, please don't bother reading any further, because you won't. And if you're the type of person that likes wasting hard earned money on upfront fees and empty promises, then don't bother because as I said before, there are none. These are free ways to earn money from home that have worked for me in the past, but I do not guarantee they will work for you because everyone is different. These sites and tips also involve effort and work to turn a profit. If you are looking for a simple, no effort way, please keep looking.

Still want to continue? Great! The first way to make money from home is to take surveys on sites such as Cashonlysurveys.com, and Surveyspot.com, as well as Dollarsurveys.net. These survey companies cost you nothing to join, and pay different amounts after completing online surveys. Dollar Surveys pays just that, a dollar per survey. And you don't have to wait for the amount to add up to a minimum payout, because once they credit your account, they transfer it right into Pay pal for you. There are other survey companies that offer upfront payments of cash, or gift cards, or points that can be redeemed for rewards. Most of these companies are free to join and use, and if they aren't, then keep looking for the ones that are.

If survey taking isn't for you, then how about article writing as an independent contractor for sites such as Yahoo.com? On Yahoo's Associated Content site, you can join as an independent contractor, you can choose what you write and write articles on subjects you feel strongly about, and then submit them for review. Once an article has been accepted, an offer is issued and you are free to accept or reject it, before your content is posted. Articles can take between 1-2 weeks to review, but the payment is usually given within 24 hours of accepting an offer. By writing and submitting articles on a regular basis, the money can add up quickly, and usually range between $4-7.00 per article, although the payment depends completely on the article itself.

And if you aren't the writer type, I have another way of making money that might suit you better. Amazon has a site called, Mechanical Turk, which allows people to join for free as workers to do a wide range of tasks that are submitted to Amazon by independent businesses and companies. These tasks range from online searches to complete web addresses and company information such as finding business phone numbers and contact information, to transcribing audio clips, and making dating profiles. The pay completing depends on the task, and the payment is stated upfront when you search for a task to complete. I've found most tasks on this site pay less than $1.00 per task completed, however, I have also completed a few tasks for $10-30.00, so it just depends on the task. Payment is issued to your Amazon account after the task has been reviewed and accepted. If the task is rejected, which I have never had happen, you will not be paid for it. This is a good site to use if you have some extra time and need a little side money. It is definitely not one that pays enough to be on there several hours a day. But maybe in the future, the tasks will offer a higher payout.

And lastly, Etsy.com is a crafter's paradise. This site is an online craft fair of sorts that only allows crafting materials, crafts that are made by you, and antiques that don't have to be handmade, to be listed on their site for sale. The cost to list an item is minimal compared to other auction sites, and you do not pay anything after you sell the item, only a one-time listing fee. You also pick where you will ship to, and how much you will charge to ship. This site is a great site for crafters to offer items they have made, without having to pay high listing and selling fees. The crafts also tend to sell better on here then on other sites because this is all the site will allow on it. By searching on the site you can find items such as purses, artwork, woodwork, dolls, and clay sculptures, as well as baby blankets and other handmade goodies. It is a great way to get your name out if you are looking to sell your crafts professionally and earn some extra cash.

These ways to make money from home will probably not make you rich or get you that mansion or beach house you've always wanted. They are ways that I have used to make some money from home that have worked for me. They are also free to use, except for a minimal listing fee for Etsy.com, and are easy to use and join. They won't bring in enormous amounts of money, but they can give you a little extra spending money if you run low, and I have found them to be good ways to earn income from home. Just remember, the more of these sites you use, the more money you will probably make because it can take several sites to earn enough income to be worth it. It all depends on what you are looking to make and how much time you have to spend. Because these sites don't cost to join, you won't lose anything but time if you decide to give them a try, so why not try one out and see what works for you?

What do you think about an 18yr old getting married? (Answers: 46) (Comments: 1)
Seriously, be mature about it. Don't give some shit faced answer like 'zomg itz so dum'. Me and my boyfriend plan on getting married before he goes to airforce. So it'd be...soon. Not too sure when, but possibly within the next 2-3 months. We've been together for 3yrs and 6 months. Neither of us have any doubts, we're just ready. Not to mention all the benifits of him being in the airforce and married. They send extra money home. Anyway, I'm 18, 19 in october, and he's 20, 21 next saturday. What is your opinion on young people getting married? I've heard a few different answers from the people I work with, and they have very different views on it. I personally think if someone knows the person they're with and is ready....Then they're ready. I don't think it's right for one person to tell someone else 'you aren't ready for this' even though they can't expirience the relationship themselves. "You are going to be doing it sometime in your life anyway, WHY NOT NOW?" We've tried telling people that so many times, but it's like no one listens. lol. But yeah, that's exactly what we've been saying. "its to young man you will be tired of each other in 10 years trust me dont do it" See, this is what I mean. It isn't you in our relationship. It's me and him, and no one in the world can tell one of us how we feel about eachother now, and how we will feel about eachother in 10 years. Maybe you have problems commiting like that, but not everyone does. To everyone saying I answered my own question...No, I told you my opinion on the subject, and I'm just wanting to hear what other people say. I didn't say chose my life for me, I said speak your mind on the matter. When he goes to airforce he will only be gone for 3months. Time really seems to pass by quickly and I don't think it's that much of a deal. So yes, I am ready to get married and spend 3months with my parents. I've lived with them for 18yr's. lol. People say it ruins your life, but I thought that was with babies? I'm not a slut, I can't just go around flirting with guys 'exploring my possibilities'. I love Tom, only tom. The only difference between now and after getting married is we have that much more of a reason to keep the relationship strong and I'll have a ring to brag about. ^_^ Thanks to everyone who said 'congrats' or something of the sort. =) As for waiting....Not too much of an option now. He could be sent off to boot camp any time after august. We aren't just doing it for benifits, sorry if I made it sound like that....We've known we were going to get married long before the idea of air force came along. It's basically more of a reason to do it. Unlike alot of young people now, me and tom are far from party animals. Neither of us really have friends, not that we regularly hang out with at least, and we never go out partying or anything. Yeah we're both a couple of antisocial wierdos. We fell out of those puppy love days after the first year. Now it's just normal to see eachother everysingle day. We aren't like those couples who are constantly frenching in the park, and they just met, or anything. We already travel together, when my parents go somewhere they know Tom is coming along with us wherever we go. It's pretty much like he lives here Sorry if I sound hard headed trying to make counter-points to some of the answers. I'm not trying to. Anyway....I'm just going to throw this out there. I think it's nice that I found someone so much like me. And I don't mean in the childish way that we both like the color blue, and our favourite food is cheese. He actually likes red anyway. lol. But what we do have in common, that I think is important, is our opinions on bigger subjects. Religion is where we both hit the jackpot. We have practically the same beliefs....I won't get into the long explanation of what we believe in. lol. But it's nice because that is one thing that causes tons of arguements, and it's something we can't argue over. Another thing I think is nice, is when young couples argue, they get PO'd at eachother and run away. Me and Tom argue about lots of things. But we don't stay mad about it. In fact, we get over arguements within the hour. It's never lasted longer than that. And we've had some big ones.
